Galego Cycling Foundation was born July 11, 2006 with the signing of the notary before Xosé Luis Prieto Fenech’s founding charter by the sponsoring institutions: Valery Karpin SL, Ministry of Culture and Sport, Department of Innovation and Industry (Galicia Calidade) , Galego Sports Foundation, and Cardom Caixanova SL In 2008 joins the General Directorate of Tourism – Xacobeo SA of Xestión.

Cycling Foundation Galego Galician interest is declared by Order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Xunta de Galicia from September 1, 2006 and registered in the National Register of Foundations of Galician interests with the number 2006 / 8. For this reason, it is subject to Law 7 / 83 Regime Galician interest foundations.

The Protectorate to which is attached the Foundation is the Ministry of Culture and Sport, which has the registration number 142.

Finally, as regards the sporting aspect, Galego Cycling Foundation is registered in the Register of Sports Associations and athletes in Galicia, with the number C-08 972 and registered as a sports club in the Galician Federation of Cycling. In addition, the Foundation has registered the Xacobeo Galicia Cycling Team at the International Cycling Union (UCI).
