Oman: Excellent ITT by Greg Van Avermaet ? Cancellara final winner
The last stage at Tour of Oman was run along the coast over 18.6 kilometres between Al Jissah and Muscat Corniche.
Norwegian Edvald Boasson Haägen (Team Sky), who had already shown to be in great form, signed the only time under the 26' limit. Boasson Haägen made it in 25'58, followed by World and Olympic champion Fabian Cancellara (Saxo Bank) in 26'16".
Our Greg Van Avermaet finished in 7th position after a very good ITT. 1'16" down, Philippe Gilbert took 15th, Sebastian Lang 21st in spite of two chain jumps, and Leif Hoste 26th.
Fabian Cancellara is the final winner of this first Tour of Oman, Sebastian Lang finishes in 12th position.

Tom Boonen wins today’s stage at Oman
The penultimate stage of Tour of Oman linked Wattayat to Sultan Qaboos Stadium over 148 kilometres along the coast.
A long 3-rider breakaway was caught with 10 kilometres to go. The ensuing pack sprint was won by Belgian Tom Boonen (Quick.Step)ahead of Argentine Juan Jose Haedo (Saxo Bank) and Belgian Michael Van Stayen (Bel) Topsport Vlaanderen - Mercator.
