Francaise des Jeux
Yauheni Hutarovich gave the Française des Jeux team its 250th victory in 2009 and the French squad will be looking to hit the 300 target in 2010.
Française des Jeux is the national lottery of France and has sponsored a cycling team since 1997, working with cycling to promote its values of fair play, respecting the rules and sporting integrity. As well as backing the professional team, Française des Jeux also works hard to promote cycling among young people with development teams.
Française des Jeux won 19 races in 2009 but also showed their consistency with 17 second places and 20 third places. Other results include the team standings in the Coupe de France season-long series and seventh in the Tour de France team standings.
Yet again Team Manager and former professional rider Marc Madiot has created a strong and united team for 2010 that includes both some of the best French riders in the peloton and other talents from around the globe.
Core team leaders such as Sandy Casar, Remy Di Gregorio, Anthony Geslin, Frédéric Guesdon, Christophe Le Mevel remain, with talented Australian Wesley Sulzberger and Finland’s Jussi Veikkanen also again wearing the white team jersey decorated by a blue cloverleaf.
“We hope to do well again in 2010 on both an individual and collective basis, perhaps transforming our many second places into even more victories. We’ve definitely got the potential in our line up for 2010,” Madiot said.
